See your modules' code without server access
On many shops you only have the PrestaShop admin — no FTP, no SSH, no hosting panel. Code Viewer adds a Code viewer page under the codePresta menu, so you can open any module in the modules/ folder and read its files right from the back office.
What it does
- File tree of the selected module with syntax highlighting and line numbers.
- Search across a module's files; results jump to the matching line.
- Images are shown inline, binary files are offered as a download.
- Download a single file or the whole module as a zip, ready to upload to another shop.
Safe by design
- Read-only — the module never writes, edits or deletes files.
- Only the SuperAdmin profile can open it.
- Access is locked inside each module's folder; paths outside it are refused.
- Secret files (
.env,.git, keys and certificates,parameters.php, credential files) are never shown, searched or zipped.
Installation
- Download the module for free and upload the zip from Modules → Module Manager → Upload a module.
- Open codePresta → Code viewer in the menu.
- Pick a module from the list and browse its files.
Works on PrestaShop 1.7.8, 8 and 9.
